Cultural Ideals
Each civilization you encounter is defined by its Core Ideal - a fundamental value or virtue that shapes their society, technology, and decisions. These Ideals create natural alliances and conflicts as they interact in your Haven. Examples:
Dharmapuri (modern India) values Sacred Duty, leading them to feel responsible for helping other cultures adapt. But they may need to overcome rigidity, dogmatism, and social hierarchy.
The Celestial Commonwealth (future China) values Community, where Confucian values guide development, with flying cities inspired by traditional Chinese architecture. Such wonders may sometimes come at the expense of individualism.
Al-Mizan (past Saudi Arabia) values Honesty, engendering trust and transparency among others. But absolute honesty can stifle creativity and innovation, when unconventional ideas may face stark criticism.
